This Privacy Policy explains how VD Custodian Inc. ("Custodian," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our Services.
Important Notice - Customer Content
This Policy does not apply to the information that our customers manage, upload, and store in the Custodian Services ("Customer Content"). In those circumstances:
- We process and/or host Customer Content on behalf of a customer and that customer is responsible for the collection and use of all Customer Content
- That customer's privacy notice will apply to the customer's collection and use of such Customer Content
In such circumstances you should refer to their privacy notice and direct any queries to them. The customer's agreement with us governs our use of and processing of Customer Content in these circumstances.

1. Personal Information We Collect
Personal Information you provide to us
When you purchase or express interest in the Services, you may provide us with Personal Information. This Personal Information may include your name, surname, billing and mailing address, email address, phone number(s), account name and password, and credit card information. We use a third-party intermediary to manage credit card processing. This intermediary is not permitted to store, retain, or use your billing information for any purpose except for credit card processing on our behalf.
When using the Service
We automatically collect certain data relating to the performance and configuration of our Service and related consumption, use of, and interaction with the Service (collectively, "Usage Data"). While Usage Data usually does not involve personal information, it may include such data in the following instances:

- Web Application Usage: Interaction with web-based applications and services
Important: Form data and browser metadata are NOT collected by our extension.

- Opt-in Required: The browser extension must be explicitly installed and enabled by the user
- Local Processing: All collected data stays within your organization's infrastructure - no information is transmitted to external internet services
- Granular Controls: Users can configure which websites and activities are monitored
- Easy Removal: The extension can be disabled or uninstalled at any time through browser settings
- Data Encryption: All browser extension data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Organizational Control: Enterprise administrators can manage extension deployment and configuration
Note: Browser extension data collection only occurs when the extension is actively installed and enabled. Users maintain full control over this feature and all data remains within your organization.
3. How We Use Your Information
Custodian uses your Personal Information to provide, monitor, and improve our Services, ensure compliance with legal obligations, and deliver customer support. The information collected is also used for internal analytics to enhance performance and develop new features.
